Privacy
Devotional data stays on your Mac: selected content, favourites, reminder preferences, and session history. Backups are files you choose to export.
Local tools
Notes, scratchpad and file references are stored locally. Shelf keeps references to files you select and does not delete originals. Backups exclude credentials, file-access bookmarks and clipboard history.
Prayer location can be entered manually without granting location permission. Notification access is optional and requested only when you choose it. App-usage tracking and clipboard history are separately opt-in. Clipboard payloads are encrypted locally, with seven-day / 200-entry default retention.
Calendar uses system permissions. Direct Stripe and DataFast reports use keys stored in your Mac’s Keychain and contact those providers directly. Advanced hosted connections store encrypted credentials on the service. City search uses Apple Maps. Weather sends approximate coordinates to MET Norway, which also receives your IP address; forecasts are cached locally. Claude metrics are received through an authenticated local listener; prompts, source code, logs and traces are excluded.
Website analytics
The public home page uses DataFast to measure visits and traffic sources for dhikrbuddy.com. Purchase, claim, recovery and licence management pages do not load this script. This website measurement does not collect the devotional content or local documents in the Mac app.
Optional feedback
Public information pages include a feedback form provided by FeedbackFlow. When you submit it, your message and optional contact details are sent to the product owner through that service. It is not loaded on purchase, recovery or licence management pages.
Purchases and licensing
Hosted Stripe Checkout handles card details. The purchase service stores order identifiers, purchase email, licence status, and random installation identifiers. It does not receive devotional activity or hardware serial numbers.
Transactional email is used for purchase claims and recovery. Licensing and updates may use the network. Sensitive claim and management pages contain no analytics.
